Therapeutic Indications

• The Product is recommended for use to treat type 2 (non-insulin dependent) diabetes mellitus in adults, when metformin is not suitable or has failed to work adequately

Usage Directions

• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your Doctor. Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.

Precautions & Warnings

• Please consult your doctor before consuming this medicine, in case of:
• If you have weak bones
• If you have heart problems
• If you have cysts in your ovaries (polycystic ovary syndrome)
• If you have liver or eye disease
• If you have fluid retention
• If you have had diabetic ketoacidosis
• If you have bladder cancer
• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of PIOGLITAZONE 30 MG

Indicated Side Effects

• Blurred vision
• Heart failure
• Broken bones
• Bladder cancer
• Localized swelling
• Flatulence
• Respiratory infection
• Small reduction in red blood cell count
• Abnormal vision
• Shortness of breath
• Weight gain
• Impotence
• Numbness
• Joint or back pain
• Decreased blood sugar (hypoglycaemia)
• Headache, dizziness
• Increased appetite
• Inflammation of the sinuses (sinusitis)
• Tiredness
• Difficulty sleeping (insomnia) not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data)
• Sweating
• Increase in liver enzymes
• Spinning sensation (vertigo)
• Sugar in urine, proteins in urine

Interactions

• Please inform your doctor if you have recently consumed or are consuming any of the below mention medicine:
• Other medicines used to treat diabetes (such as insulin, chlorpropamide, glibenclamide, gliclazide, tolbutamide)
• Gemfibrozil (used to lower cholesterol)
• Rifampicin (used to treat tuberculosis and other infections)

Storage Condition

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight or as mentioned on Product/Label.
