Therapeutic Indications

• The Product is recommended for use to treat the following:
• Allopurinol is used to treat chronic gout (increased uric acid quantity in the body), uric acid kidney stones, In some types of cancer when there is an increase in uric acid (Tumor Lysis syndrome) caused by anticancer medicines.

Usage Directions

• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your Doctor. Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.

Precautions & Warnings

• Please consult your doctor before consuming this medicine, in case of You have any allergic reactions to Allopurinol.

Indicated Side Effects

• Side effects of Allopurinol may include nausea, diarrhea, joint pain, headache, skin rash, increased liver enzymes or thyroid hormone, depression.
• Severe skin disorders like rash can involve ulcers of the mouth, throat, nose, genitals, and red eyes. Along with this fever, headache, and skin blistering may occur, stop taking Allopurinol and contact your doctor immediately.

Interactions

• Please inform your doctor if you have recently consumed or are consuming any of the below mention medicine:
• Theophylline, Azathioprine and 6-Mercaptopurine, Vidarabine, Chlorpropamide ( used to treat diabetes), Phenytoin, Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Bleomycin, Procarbazine, Mechlorethamine, Aspirin, Furosemide, Ampicillin and Amoxicillin, Diuretics, in particular, Thiazides, especially in renal impairment, Angiotensin-Converting-Enzyme inhibitors (ACE- inhibitors like Captopril)

Storage Condition

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight or as mentioned on Product/Label.
