Usage Directions
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your Doctor. Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.
Precautions & Warnings
Please consult your doctor before consuming this medicine, in case of:
If you have high amounts of potassium in your blood
If you have diabetes or impaired kidney function
If you are undergoing surgery
If you are allergic to Ramipril or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
If you are undergoing dialysis
Indicated Side Effects
Stomach upsets
Swelling of the face, lips or throat
Headache or dizziness
Severe skin allergy
Liver problems
Fast heart rate
Pancreatitis
Bleeding
Cramps or pain in your muscles
Fainting, hypotension
Skin rash
Dry tickly cough, inflammation of your sinuses (sinusitis) or bronchitis, shortness of breath
Stomach or gut pain, diarrhoea, indigestion, nausea or vomiting
An increased number of certain white blood cells (eosinophilia) found during a blood test
Balance problems (vertigo)
Sexual inability in men, reduced sexual desire in men or women
Itching and unusual skin sensations such as numbness, tingling, pricking, burning or creeping on your skin
Pain in your joints
Loss or change in the way things taste
Flushing, blurred vision, fever
Sleep problems
Swollen arms and legs.
Feeling depressed, anxious, more nervous than usual or restless
Loss or decrease of appetite (anorexia)
Blocked nose, difficulty breathing or worsening of asthma
Sweating more than usual
Passing more water (urine) than usual over the day
Heartburn, constipation or dry mouth
Blood tests showing a decrease in the number of red blood cells, white blood cells or platelets or in the amount of haemoglobin
Feeling shaky or confused
Disturbed hearing and ringing in your ears
Red and swollen tongue
Red, itchy, swollen or watery eyes
Severe flaking or peeling of the skin, itchy, lumpy rash
Blotches on your skin and cold extremities
Nail problems (e.g. loosening or separation of a nail from its bed)
Skin rash or bruising
Being more sensitive to the sun than usual
Interactions
Please inform your doctor if you have recently consumed or are consuming any of the below mention medicine:
Lithium (for mental health problems)
Ibuprofen or Indomethacin used to relieve pain
Medicines for diabetes such as oral glucose lowering medicines and insulin
Medicines used for the treatment of low blood pressure, shock, cardiac failure
Racecadotril (used against diarrhoea)
Medicines for cancer (chemotherapy)
Procainamide (for heart rhythm problems)
Medicines to stop the rejection of organs after a transplant such as Ciclosporin
Allopurinol (used to lower the uric acid in your blood)
Medicines which can increase the amount of potassium in your blood such as spironolactone, triamterene, amiloride, potassium salts, trimethoprim alone or in combination with sulfamethoxazole (for infections) and heparin (for thinning blood)
Steroid medicines for inflammation such as Prednisolone
Storage Condition
Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight or as mentioned on Product/Label.
